Drama in Education Days 2022

The Call for Papers for the 8th Drama in Education Days is out now! The bilingual conference, focusing on performative methods in language teaching, will be held in 2 parts: online (part 1: 10th/11th June) and on site (17th/18th June in Kempten, Germany). Abstracts for talks and workshops on drama/theatre/improv in foreign or 2nd language education can be submitted until 15th March 2022. This year’s keynotes are Karl Eigenbauer (Austria) and Cecily O’Neill (UK).

If you’d like to get an idea of the work that heavily influenced Cecily O’Neill, check out the videos that the organisers of the “Dorothy Heathcote Now” conference (Oct 2021) have made available on youtube:

1) is a recording of a panel discussion at the “Dorothy Heathcote Now” event, with Cecily O’Neill, Brian Edmiston, Luke Abbott, Iona Towler-Evans and Tim Taylor.
Chaired by David Allen.

2) Also in the “Dorothy Heathcote Now” conference, Cecily O’Neill explores the idea of the pre-text in a workshop – a starting point for drama, which contains the seeds of future action.

The organisers are planning another “DOROTHY HEATHCOTE NOW” for October/November 2022.
